Prosecution of a company for portraying itself as a Registered Gas Installer

The CER has today, 11th December 2014, published a Press Release regarding the prosecution of a company, Camperman LTD, for portraying itself as a Registered Gas Installer. Under the Electricity Regulation Act 1999 (as amended) it is a criminal offence for any individual to portray oneself as a Registered Gas Installer while not being registered with the Register of Gas Installers of Ireland.

CER Prosecutes Co. Carlow Plumber for Illegal Gas Works

On 28th July 2014 the Commission for Energy Regulation (CER) successfully prosecuted an individual from County Carlow who plead guilty to illegally carrying out gas works, specifically the installation of a domestic gas boiler. This case was heard at the Dublin District Court.
